A Galentine's Day party is the perfect way to show your gal pals some love. Read on for a fun party that goes together quickly and easily.
As you probably know, I love to entertain... for almost any occasion. One of my favorite parties is a gal pal party. And what better time to throw a party for the besties than Galentine's Day?
Last year a few of my friends came over and we had a lovely evening drinking, eating, and chatting.
Pink was the color of the evening so I offered two pink drink options, pink champagne and Debbie's Pink Lemonade Margaritas. Everyone chose the Margaritas because they were so delicious AND pretty! (I guess that means they were pretty delicious!)
Margaritas are an easy cocktail because they can be mixed in a pitcher ahead of time.
Make valentine glasses by adding heart stickers to the base of your cocktail glasses. So dressed up! And if you use different stickers for each glass, the gals can identify their drink!
The Decorations
The decorations are fresh flowers, some paper goods from the party store and cute Valentine napkins. Don't forget to add a pink boa for fun!
I used a variety of candle holders for tapers and then for the buffet I made cute candle holders using some round vases and candy hearts.
Galentine's Day Party Menu
For the food I decided on appetizers; ladies love to graze! And I wanted to keep it fairly easy. When hanging out with the gals no one needs to be exhausted... girls just wanna have fun!
My Tomato Soup was a hit! We served it in cute little pink cups that Debbie lent me.
I made Jurga's Crab Cake recipe using a small heart shaped cookie cutter. This made the cakes bite sized AND a festive heart shape!
Kyle brought Tomato Crostini with Whipped Feta, a Great 8 Friends favorite! Just look at those colors!
For a protein I served a beef tenderloin, sliced and served with horseradish sauce.
I also made a Fruit Spring Roll, which was delicious and beautiful! They are similar to our Veggie Spring Rolls with a ginger dipping sauce.
Kyle made her Homemade Peanut Butter Cups, mmmm-mmmm; and I bought donuts from the best donut shop in the area to complete our dessert selections.
Everyone must have had a Gr8 time because before we knew it, it was 11:30 PM! A party isn't complete until you've surprised your friends with a sweet party favor.
I ordered these beautiful bath salts from The Little Market, a non-profit founded by women to empower women.
To make them festive I wrapped them in cellophane with some iridescent shred and pink ribbon. What could be more perfect?
So grab your gal pals, choose a few simple recipes and have a Gr8 evening! Happy Galentine's Day!
