Great 8 Friends LOVE celebrating anything; so when a birthday rolls around you can be sure that we will do whatever we can to make the birthday girl feel special. When Kyle's birthday was coming up this year we decided to go a little overboard (sometimes we do that). And since we live in Southern California we are lucky to be near the Happiest Place on Earth.
So we treated Kyle to a Disney Birthday Celebration! Once we arrived at the park and got our tickets, Kyle may have been the happiest gal on earth! She was thrilled that Disneyland was her birthday celebration.
Of course, the birthday dinner venue is always a surprise, so we first took Kyle to a Corner Bakery to open gifts and throw her off the scent. And our sweet Kyle would have been happy having coffee and cookies at 3 in the afternoon with her besties...but there was more to come!
After strolling through the park and around Frontierland and New Orleans Square for a bit, we checked in at the restaurant we had chosen. We are fortunate to have a connection to Club 33 at Disneyland so we were able to get a dinner reservation there. Have you heard of Club 33? It's a private dinner club inside of Disneyland Park.
They provided us with warm towels for our hands and a cool glass of fruit tea. So refreshing! There is a beautiful staircase to ascend to enter the restaurant.
As with everything Disney does, no expense was spared on this recently renovated space to make guests feel pampered.
Walking from the teeming excitement of the park into quiet of elegance of the Club almost seems like being magically transported to another world...and since it's Disneyland, I bet we were!
So far, the Disney Birthday Celebration was going Gr8! After our delicious 4 course dinner it was time for some rides! Pirates of the Caribbean and The Haunted Mansion are near the restaurant so those were our first rides, and the lines weren't too long!
As we strolled toward Tomorrowland, most of the guests were watching Fantasmic; so we were able to quickly maneuver from one side of the park to the other. And on the way, we were walking right beneath the incredible fireworks!
Once we got to Small World the line was totally empty, everyone was watching one of the parades or fireworks! We walked right in and enjoyed singing along with the well known music.
Afterward we strolled around the park stopping here and there to enjoy an attraction or a bite.
The Dole Whip is amazing!
Are there rides we missed? Many. Did we miss anything? Nothing, because we were Gr8 Friends together celebrating and enjoying one another!
And we got to visit with Tinker Bell! What's better than that?!?!
Be a Gr8 Friend and tell us what you think!
